The nesting box in beehive look has a unique effect on the viewer by its appearance, because it has the effect that he would be swarmed by bees. Nevertheless, a protective roof from rain and moisture, a back front and a bottom made of pine wood were also made.

The nesting box itself is made of straw like a wickerwork and therefore resembles a beehive. Due to its dimensions and the entrance hole, the nest box is well suited as a nesting place for all small native birds, such as sparrows, pied flycatchers as well as blue or great tits and other birds of similar size.

It should be hung about 1.80 meters above the ground in a quiet and calm place, so that cats and other animals do not get a chance to reach it. Full sun should be avoided, so the orientation should always be towards the north. A distance of 10 meters to the next nesting box should also be maintained. Thus, a house wall on the quiet side is suitable here as well as trees in a corner of the garden. The nest box can be stored if it is not in use during the winter and hung outside again in the spring.

Before storing, it is recommended to clean it with warm water and a soft brush. Weighing less than a kilo, the nest box is very light and can be attached with conventional screws. The holes for this are already pre-drilled.
